FM Pride extends the opportunity to the community to nominate a deserving individual to be Grand Marshal for the Pride Parade and Rally. All nominations will be reviewed by the Pride Planning Committee and will be announced once a candidate is selected.

NOMINATION CRITIERA

  1. Nominee must reside in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
  2. Nominee must be in good standing in the community.
  3. Nominee must be at least 14 years of age or older (with parental consent for minors under 18)
  4. Nominee should be persons who have displayed outstanding service and commitment in the LGBT community through volunteerism or other outstanding achievements.
  5. Areas of contribution to be considered are social, political, health, child welfare, education & business.
  6. The grand marshal position shall be limited to one (1) person, unless a family, a couple or a group is selected that shares a common connection relevant to the spirit of the position.
  7. Nominees should be able and willing to carry out the function of the Grand Marshal for the Pride Parade as well as any media opportunities as needed.
  8.  The nominee cannot be a current member of Pride Planning Committee or be a current board member for the Pride Collective and Community Center. Past committee and board members are exempt – meaning they can be nominated for Grand Marshal.
  9. Nominations must be received between June 19 – July 7,  2023.
